Compliance Analyst

We are looking for an Compliance Analyst to join our Corporate team!

As our IT Compliance Analyst you will be responsible for performing moderately complex activities associated with compliance. This job will ensure IT operations appropriately address regulatory and customer requirements. You will track and report on compliance and risk, monitor new regulations, and maintain top level IT policies and procedures to aid in meeting requirements.

Your Challenge

  • Serve as a point of contact for IT compliance matters and coordinates with business units to use best practices. Offers excellent customer service support to both internal and external parties by providing timely, accurate, and informative responses to inquiries. (35%)

  • Measure, track, report, and assist in the various parts of the IT organization to become compliant with IT policies and procedures. Monitor and review IT operations to ensure compliance with Company policy. Oversee business operations relating to IT compliance including policies, investments, and procedures. (30%)

  • Provide recommendations to management identifying opportunities to further comply with IT regulations and policies. Develop solutions for practices that are out of compliance. (25%)

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize information to prepare informative reports and dashboards. Leverage the corporation’s Governance, Risk and Compliance system when appropriate. (10%)

What You Bring

  • IT Security, IT Audit, Privacy, other IT certifications are a plus.

  • Possessing a legal, paralegal, or IT degree is a plus.

  • 3 + years experience of

    • Addressing IT compliance with privacy, customer, or government requirements for an IT environment,

    • IT experience supporting elements of a large IT environment, or

    • IT audit experience associated with government or commercial requirements, whether in the auditor or auditee role.

  • In addition, an interest in compliance work is required. This role is not one of IT system administration or IT user support.

  • Experience in roles such as privacy officer, ISSM, ISSO, or FSO are a plus.

  • Comfortable with meeting with and presenting to all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable with a team-oriented approach to challenges and solutions.

  • Knowledgeable of compliant requirements, develops a policy to address the requirements, and communicates the policy
