Job Summary

Introba is seeking an Intermediate Lighting Design Consultant for our London location. The ideal person will support the Light Studio portfolio day to day (rather than strategically) by knowing and performing the company’s duties via the ACE Agreement and Company standards and represent the company on projects with support from Seniors or Directors.

The Lighting Design Consultant will also work to enhance the reputation of Introba Consulting for delivering Lighting Excellence through supporting the building and managing of in-house capability to deliver class leading lighting designs.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Creates, presents and delivers innovative lighting solutions and schemes and supports existing and future Introba MEP projects.

  • Engages with and manages projects to achieve Client satisfaction and profitability targets while working within Team environment and be able to instruct technicians and support staff in their work as it relates to the projects under the Intermediate Engineer’s control.

  • Ensures designs and outputs comply with the company Quality Assurance Policies and develops lighting design skills of junior members of staff

  • Control own activities to meet Company financial / time targets and advise and support other Construction Team Professionals on their own activities related to Lighting.

  • Illustrate concepts and prepare written reports and adequately communicate thoughts and ideas to other staff, professionals and clients in verbal and written form.

  • Prepare complete packages of tender information and monitor/report on the quality and progress of work on site where required.

  • Prepare budget costs and produce designs to meet agreed budget while supporting the team in management of variations to projects.

  • Act professionally with all parties on the clients work so as to develop the company’s reputation and achieve continued professional development in areas relevant to the achievement of personal objectives and as a contribution to those of the company.

  • Serve as the principal liaison with selected clients or projects while upholding and maintaining Introba’s design standards and will be responsible for engineering, specifications, documentation, standardisation, quality assurance, cost and value analysis in relation to Lighting.

Qualifications:

  • Conversant with codes of practice and standard while being an effective Team member, i.e. works well with others

  • Technically competent with experience in design and implementation of lighting installations with Programs such as Lighting Reality and Dialux.

  • AutoCAD experience strongly preferred.

  • Construction Process Awareness.

  • Strong communications skills.

  • Organises good work processes in advance; exceeds expected requirements for scheduling.

  • Defines desired results, guidelines, resources, accountability and consequences; follows up with goal setting.

  • Handles many issues or projects simultaneously with appropriate prioritisation.

  • Upholds, lives, and delivers the core values of the company.
