Amex GBT Egencia Analytics team is seeking a talented candidate for the Senior Data Visualization Analyst role who loves storytelling through creative and inspiring dashboards while solving complex problems across a full spectrum of technologies. This role will support Egencia Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers in bringing data to life through critical projects and influencing decisions to help deliver results.

What You’ll Do on a typical day

  • You will work on various tools and systems, mostly cloud-based applications or data-platform components (e.g., data pipelines, processing, visualization, reporting, etc.). Clients will use the dashboards you develop to gain in-depth insights into their travel program. Every day, data scientists will leverage the platform you build to train and release machine learning models.

  • Passionate storytelling and bringing data to life by partnering with key stakeholders.  
  • Build dynamic and robust dashboards that deliver actionable results and tell stories through the data.
  • Identify new opportunities to improve dashboard engagement by identifying relevant insights.
  • Work closely across the business with stakeholders, analytics, and data science teams to help craft and define measurements of success and gather requirements.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests and data investigations from team members to support decision-making.
  • Help lead efforts in data visualization best practices and simplification of our reporting suite.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of data visualization work experience in a relevant business environment.
  • 3-4 years building dashboard
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent fields.
  • Solid experience in reporting tools like Tableau.
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL and if vital other languages (e.g. R, Python) to prepare data for application in automated/scheduled reporting and visualization, and in support of self-serve analytics.
  • Confidently communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work well under pressure and time constraints.
  • Demonstrable ability to investigate, familiarize, and master new data sets quickly.
  • Sound knowledge of working with Snowflake Computing and solid understanding of RDBMS systems and ETL processes is a huge plus.
