Salary Range: $139,128 - $191,301 (DOE)

Summary and Qualifications:

Play a critical role in setting the strategy for delivering on annual veterinarian recruitment goals, leading stakeholder communication efforts with Veterinary Operations, Veterinary Affairs, Field Operations, and the Senior Leadership Team.

Manage oversight of doctor recruitment team ensuring each associate has clear objectives, maintains market-specific talent attraction/engagement plans, and receives consistent coaching and development.

Partner and support management with the development and implementation of enterprise-wide, industry leading comprehensive recruitment strategies and corresponding programs to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • In a decentralized selection environment, create the best-in-class recruitment processes.
  • Partner with internal/external recruiting resources to leverage synergies and improved the company’s overall efforts in attracting talent for key positions.
  • Support the development of a practice-wide workforce plans that identifies gaps and focuses on engaging and acquiring talent to meet the current and future needs of the practice.
  • Develop and support implementation of a best-in-class talent pipeline strategies that ensures future talent needs are met, implementing effective metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure results, impact, and cost effectiveness.
  • Provide direction and consultation to the senior management on strategic and emerging staffing trends.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help easily identify and source qualified talent through a variety of channels including Internet, cold calling, networking, resume databases, job advertisements, referrals and social networks.
  • Manage external resources and stakeholders including recruiting firms, implementing programs to attach a diverse leadership talent pool.
  • Leverage core systems (e.g., Workday and Phenom) and other key acquisition technologies to manage the end-to-end candidate process and to ensure optimal employment practices and compliance with government regulations.
  • Provides input to and supports critical business updates (e.g., Finance and governance).
  • Represents Talent Acquisition in ELT.
  • Leads key initiatives or projects as required (e.g., Doctor Hiring Evolution).
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • This position requires 25-30% travel.
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. 
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management or a related field is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 10 years of senior level recruiting experience in a fast-paced, performance driven culture are required.
  • Demonstrated success in attracting, assessing and recruiting leadership talent for an international, multi-unit, consumer products and/or building services organization is required.
  • Strong track record of building, leading teams and meeting talent acquisition needs in a geographically dispersed, matrix organization and filling positions with high quality candidates within tight time constraints are required.
  • Familiarity with current technology that support the identification, acquisition and on-boarding of top talent is required.
  • Experience with niche, high-volume, executive search and/or contingency based recruiting firms is required.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
