THE POSITION: Product Management Specialist

In this position, the successful candidate will be the product life cycle expert for the OTC & Women’s Health team, assisting Marketing Managers in achieving business goals and providing strong assistance in the tactical operation of the brand with a specific focus on product portfolio change management. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop brand marketing know-how by assisting in the execution of the marketing plans.

This position reports to the Brand Director and supports all brands within the OTC & Women’s Health portfolio.

This position will also:

  • Assist Marketing Managers in project management through the product life cycle (inception, launch, maintenance and discontinuation), mitigating issues and concerns as they arise.  This function will interact with key internal teams (New Product Development, Research & Development, Regulatory, Operations), and external 3rd parties (packaging suppliers, creative agencies). Specifically, the candidate will have a high focus on:
    • Lead local artwork development and packaging adaptation for the total OTC and Women’s Health portfolio, leveraging global style guides (e.g. renderings, sales samples, products, and displays).  Identify and leverage competitive claims, trends and consumer feedback to provide actionable recommendations.   
    • Complete forms required to flow items through the materials data management process and own the asset management for their brands (product images, sales samples, product samples, consumer materials, etc)
  • Work closely with local partner agencies to contribute and on occasion lead the development of consumer and trade communications, including videos/image assets, website development, in-store programs, legally approved copy, e-commerce content etc. Liaise with legal and R&D teams to work through regulatory, legal, copy and creative feedback and propose recommendations and solutions.
  • Support Marketing Managers in the execution of specific marketing activities (e.g. consumer and trade promotion activities, special packs, sampling, PR programs, displays, direct marketing, etc.)
  • Assist in the development of the brand’s integrated marketing plan. Help execute the integrated marketing plan, ensuring consistency with brand strategy and brand communication plan.
  • Support quarterly market data analysis using Nielsen and IQVIA data and bring actionable insights.
  • Other administrative duties as required (legal routings, purchasing and sample orders, tracking documents, couriers, meeting coordination, international requests)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • University Degree in a related field or the equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of marketing and/or project management related experience, ideally in a CPG environment
  • Capacity to plan, lead and execute complex projects with multiple stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in the standard marketing mix
  • Understanding of how daily activities can impact financials metrics.  Possesses pride in contributing to corporate objectives
  • Has a sense of urgency and the ability to motivate others in cross functional teams to deliver on objectives and deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while delivering quality results
  • Flexibility and ability to suggest quickly and proactively corrective actions/solutions as well as to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Accepts accountability and understands the impact deliverables have
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
  • Bilingual (E/F) not mandatory, but an asset
