MSIG USA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Underwriting Operations Leader to join our team and drive operational excellence across our underwriting organization.

Job Summary:

This senior-level role will lead the transformation and ongoing optimization of underwriting operations. The successful candidate will combine deep P&C underwriting expertise with proven leadership in outsourcing, offshoring, and technology integration. You will play a pivotal role in shaping scalable operations, enhancing efficiency, and enabling our underwriters to deliver superior client solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy, design, and execution of underwriting operations across multiple lines of business.
• Develop and manage outsourcing and offshoring models to deliver efficiency, cost savings, and consistent service quality.
• Partner with technology teams to implement workflow platforms, automation, and digital tools that improve underwriting accuracy and turnaround time.
• Establish and track performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting leaders to align operations with risk appetite, business objectives, and compliance requirements.
• Drive change management initiatives to modernize processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team that fosters innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in property & casualty insurance, with strong underwriting operations expertise.
• Proven success leading outsourcing, offshoring, and vendor management initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in technology integration, process automation, and workflow optimization.
• Strong understanding of underwriting processes, risk assessment, and insurance operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in global or large-scale organizations with a track record of driving transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with global delivery models and digital underwriting tools.
• Familiarity with AI, data analytics, and workflow automation in insurance.
• Advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CPCU, MBA) is highly desirable.
