ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: What You Will Do
- Guide Management & Training
- The Tour Coordinator will schedule and support our team of tour guides based on availability and tour demands, oversee tour logistics, and ensure each tour runs smoothly from planning to execution.
- Train new tour guides on company standards, customer service, safety protocols, and storytelling techniques.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure continuous improvement and consistency in tour delivery.
- Guided tours may include a combination of both indoor and outdoor work, subject to weather conditions.
- Prepare and distribute daily tour prep notes and materials for guides and key stakeholders.
- Be present and assist with execution of all tours, including during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ensure all tour materials are accurate, organized, and updated regularly.
- Guest Experience Enhancement
- Ideate and assemble lanyards, credentials, and special gifts or gift bags for guests.
- Curate and coordinate special experiences for VIPs, school groups, and other custom tour clients.
- Communication & Administration
- Manage the tour email inbox and handle all related correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with other departments (guest services, operations, security, etc.) to ensure alignment and preparedness for each tour.
- Represent Barclays Center at trade shows and tourism events.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: Who You Are
- Previous experience in tour coordination, hospitality, and/or event management highly desired.
- You have a creative mindset with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a flexible schedule; on-site presence required for all tours; with the ability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to withstand physical activity that includes but not limited to standing, walking long distances, lifting boxes of supplies (gift bags, lanyards, etc.).
