Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

What you'll do...


About the team:

Join the Digital Trust Compliance team in Digital Citizenship in a Senior Manager role.  This role is a crucial program implementation role that will be at the forefront of supporting key strategic initiatives and risks, including managing privacy governance processes for Walmart’s global marketplace operations.  Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Trust Compliance, this Senior Manager role that will collaborate with marketplace business and product teams and Global Governance partners in the digital trust space to build and implement privacy governance processes.     

What you will do...    

  • Engage with teams across the marketplace business, product, technology, and Global Governance to develop, implement and improve privacy compliance controls for marketplace seller information.   
  • Collaborate on a daily basis with legal stakeholders, country-specific privacy subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to identify risks and required privacy controls related to international privacy requirements for marketplace operations.  
  • Develop internal standards to support necessary governance controls.  
  • Coordinate guidance with technology, business and legal stakeholders on process and system-level privacy requirements.   
  • Develop reports and dashboards for performance and efficiency metrics, trends, and SLAs. Develop documentation and playbooks for operations procedures and policies. 
  • Enhance workflows through process improvements and tool recommendations.   

What you will bring:

  • Degree in a law, process management or improvement, or technical field AND 15+ years of relevant work experience in domestic or international privacy compliance.
  • Background in privacy program processes and program development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain required privacy controls to a diverse set of stakeholders in a variety of business and technical functions.   
  • Experience working with technical and business teams (Product, Engineering) to develop and implement compliance controls into applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve processes and drive decisions, strong communication skills, business judgment, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
