DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMER PROJECTS (EMEA)
Sabre Hospitality Customer Projects teams are squarely focused on top-line revenue growth by driving implementation throughput up, and driving down implementation duration, as part of customer onboarding and ongoing customer business growth. These teams are high-performing and have achieved a great deal of success with migrating thousands of customers to Sabre’s platform. This team is undoubtedly industry-leading, and we are looking for a high performing leader to expand on the team’s track record of execution and growth. 

POSITION OVERVIEW:


The role involves providing regional leadership and operational support to prospects, customers, and sales teams, aiming to meet revenue and sales targets through implementations and pre-sales engagements. The candidate will manage customer delivery projects in the EMEA region, ensure KPI adherence, and build lasting relationships with key contacts and partners. The position requires self-sufficiency in running the delivery organization, setting team vision based on sales growth and customer needs. This high-visibility role involves interacting with the regional customer portfolio, executive team, and all business functions.

The expectation from the ideal candidate is to self-sufficiently run the regional delivery organization, drive the team to execute key engagements, revitalize a highly experienced team of professionals, as well to groom and grow the next generation bench. Additionally, will look to the regional leader to come up with the vision and direction for the team based on sales growth within the region as well as higher level company strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Projects

  • Driving high-performing teams to execute key strategic projects in the region with minimal support from HQ. 

  • Focus on revenue generation through customer implementations and sales support for new business, as well as upselling to existing customers. 

  • Building relationships with key customer executives and third-party vendors (top 25 in the region). 

  • Serving as the central point for handling key customer escalations for existing and implementing customers. 

  • Maintaining project management standards and ensuring that activities are implemented according to approved standard operating procedures. 

  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction and cultivating referenceable customers who are willing to vouch for Sabre Hospitality products and services.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Participate in and/or lead the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define transformation objectives, priorities, and success metrics.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of current business processes, systems, and practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

  • Develop comprehensive plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and performance metrics, and track progress against goals.

  • Lead change management efforts to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.

  • Establish effective communication channels and mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the transformation journey.

Team Management

  • Full HR responsibility for direct and indirect reports across multiple countries.

  • Build a talent pipeline and succession plan for all levels of the team.

  • Monitor team performance and productivity, and implement measures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that values diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a liaison between team members and leadership, communicating key updates, concerns, and feedback as needed.

  • Drive employee engagement and morale through recognition programs, team-building activities, and regular communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of broad experience managing very large, multi-site deliveries and/or highly complex, high-risk deliveries, often international in scope.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing teams of 10 or more professionals.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Experience with enterprise and large-scale migrations.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading transformation projects.

  • Proven track record of effectively leading teams to achieve goals and results.
