About You and The Role  

For this role, you’ll work alongside the broader Perception team by reviewing and annotating data, adding critical contextual metadata for machine learning applications. The broader Perception team relies on accurately annotated data to deliver safety critical systems such as avoiding other aircraft, avoiding ground based obstacles as well as making safe and accurate deliveries. Using internal and external tools and working with external labeling vendors, you’ll work on a variety of different data streams. You’ll help to identify patterns, outliers and system problems while maintaining a steady flow of data to the Perception team. Attention to detail and methodical thoroughness are needed for success in this role.

What You'll Do 

• Become an expert in different sensor data streams, helping to identify problems, challenging cases and improve the overall labeling and review processes.
• Review data labeled by external labeling services for accuracy and completeness.
• Use internal tools to label data, providing feedback on how to make them better and more efficient.
• Meet weekly quotas for data delivery to keep algorithmic development on track, while maintaining a high bar for quality.
• Be willing to support other team members of the Perception and Perception Data team on ongoing projects as needed.

What You'll Bring 

• You have a bachelor’s degree in any engineering/applied sciences background.
• You have 3+ years of work experience reviewing and annotating data.
• You have experience managing complex tasks and projects.
• You enjoy working on tasks that require attention to details for an extended period of time.
• You can communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in English.
