  • Perform all phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process-based applications
  • Implement and administer on-premises and off-premises enterprise cloud solution architectures like AWS, Azure, and Red Hat.
  • Create, Validate and Maintain Pega Operations Runbooks and/or Reference Guides.
  • Train team members and other stakeholders in Pega operations and administration.
  • Document Pega Standards and Guardrails
  • All other duties as assigned or directed.

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.  Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) certification.
  • 12+ years of experience building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Expertise in all phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process-based applications
  • Experience as a lead in implementing and administering on-premises and off-premises enterprise cloud solution architectures like AWS, Azure, and Red Hat.
  • Experience with Connectors and Services in Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC) to integrate with external systems
  • Experience in creating/validating/maintaining Pega Operations Runbooks and/or Reference Guides.
  • Experience with training team members and other stakeholders in Pega operations and administration.
  • Documenting Pega Standards and Guardrails
  • Ability to create system architecture diagrams and documentation for review by technical and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with customer daily

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Experience in project management, business/systems analysis, and quality control/assurance
  • Ability to communication technical details in a matter that non-technical resources understand
  • Experience with diverse platforms including Pega, Remedy ARS and ITSM, Microsoft technologies (including the .NET Framework, ASP and Visual Basic), Java and HP Asset Center
  • Experience in systems integration, distributed environments, service-oriented architecture (SOA), pattern-based development, and rapid application development techniques
  • Experience in PRPC 6.2, Pega 7, Pega 8.x is a plus
  • Certifications in Customer Service System Architect, DCO Architect, System Architect, and BMC Remedy Certified Administrator is a plus

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
