In this role, you will drive go-to-market strategy and operational excellence for Canada, owning the end-to-end digital growth agenda and building an operating model that accelerates execution, accountability, and business performance. You will serve as a key strategic leader and connector across global and regional teams—ensuring Canada’s priorities are embedded into enterprise planning, investment decisions, and performance management.

This role requires strong strategic judgment, deep analytical skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across disciplines including payments, payment networks, fraud, risk, compliance, pricing, forecasting, and product.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end digital growth strategy for Canada, setting priorities that balance customer experience, risk management, regulatory requirements, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and operationalize a Canada GTM operating model that delivers clarity of ownership, faster decision-making, and measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a senior strategic advisor to Canada leadership, ensuring market needs are reflected in broader corporate strategy, planning, and investment decisions.
  • Define, track, and manage clear growth goals and detailed performance metrics across key go-to-market levers.
  • Establish disciplined execution rhythms, including performance reviews, dashboards, and executive-ready insights tied to business outcomes.
  • Lead Canada contributions to business forecasting and long-term planning, translating strategic priorities into measurable growth commitments.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to optimize risk decisioning frameworks to acquire new customers while maintaining healthy and sustainable loss levels.
  • Drive improvements in payment approval and authorization performance.
  • Collaborate closely with fraud, risk, compliance, and payments teams to ensure solutions scale responsibly and sustainably.
  • Lead initiatives to improve delivery speed in priority corridors, aiming to achieve competitive benchmarks where the majority of transactions are delivered within one hour.
  • Partner with product, operations, and network teams to reduce friction, improve reliability, and enhance customer trust.
  • Provide strategic leadership across pricing and customer funding flows (money in and money out), ensuring alignment with customer needs, competitive benchmarks, and profitability targets.
  • Optimize transaction monitoring rules and controls in high-impact corridors to reduce unnecessary friction while maintaining strong regulatory integrity.
  • Work closely with compliance and legal partners to ensure growth initiatives remain scalable, compliant, and risk-aware.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across global and regional teams, driving alignment and accountability.
  • Serve as a key voice for the Canada market in senior leadership forums, including monthly business reviews, planning cycles, and strategic decision discussions.
  • Translate complex data, risks, and trade-offs into clear, compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making.

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy, GTM strategy, growth, payments, consulting, or related analytical roles.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives across payments, risk, compliance, product, and marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and structured problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to balance growth, risk, and customer experience in a regulated environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience creating executive-level presentations and insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and global teams.
  • Experience in forecasting, performance management, and operating rhythm design is a strong asset.

Salary

The base salary range is $135,000 - 170,000 Annual CAD Annual per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
