Retail Banking Services is the public face of CommBank, serving over 10 million personal and small business customers. Within RBS, Everyday Products is responsible for building and evolving everyday banking products that support sustainable growth and strong customer experiences.
This role sits within the Everyday Products crew and focuses on shaping propositions and experiences for our Young Adult customers.
Do work that matters
As a Senior Product Manager in the Young Adults squad, you will own the end‑to‑end experience for the Young Adult customer segment across multiple everyday banking products. You will translate product and segment strategy into high quality, compliant and commercially sound solutions delivered at pace, while strengthening CommBank’s position as the Main Financial Institution for this customer group.
You will lead end-to-end initiatives, balancing customer needs, commercial outcomes and regulatory obligations, while partnering with engineering, design, risk, legal, compliance and operations, using data, customer insight and agile practices to deliver accountable outcomes consistently.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires comfort navigating ambiguity, defining priorities and shaping problem spaces as much as delivering solutions.
Key responsibilities
Lead discovery, shape segment strategy, and translate it into executable designs, requirements and delivery plans
Balance customer experience, commercial value, technical feasibility and regulatory constraints
Lead and influence stakeholders across product, engineering, design, risk, legal, compliance and operations
Validate ideas using customer research, data insights and experimentation
Navigate governance and approval forums with clear, evidence‑based recommendations
Partner with Product Owners, engineers and designers to prioritise delivery‑ready backlogs
Break down complex initiatives into epics and user stories aligned to customer outcomes

What you’ll bring
Proven experience operating at Senior Product Manager level delivering customer‑facing digital products, ideally in banking, fintech or complex platform environments
Strong delivery focus, managing multiple initiatives, dependencies and competing priorities
Strong agile business analysis capability, including requirements elicitation, epics, user stories and definition of ready
Ability to operate at pace and apply sound judgement in ambiguous and complex environments
Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complexity and align diverse stakeholders
Strong risk and governance mindset, embedding compliance and controls into product delivery
Tertiary qualification in business, technology or a related discipline
