Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative UI Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user interface design and a passion for creating visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the consumer experience.

This role will be based in Needham, MA. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to improve the design.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven UI design experience with a strong portfolio.
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
  • Proficiency in visual design and wire-framing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a Visual Arts subject.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the Consumer Goods industry.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
