Role and Responsibilities

How you make a difference
As a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll support the finance operations of our Benelux organization by assisting in the accurate and timely handling of invoices, payments, and employee expenses.

No prior experience is required — we’ll train and support you every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Review and validate both PO and non-PO invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Payments: Execute weekly vendor payments and handle employee reimbursements and expense claims.
• Corporate Card Management: Support the corporate credit card process and monitor cost allocations.
• Month-End Closing: Manage AP-related month-end tasks, including reporting and GL account analysis.
• Vendor Reconciliation: Perform quarterly supplier reconciliations and resolve outstanding items with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Master Data Accuracy: Maintain vendor master data according to internal controls and audit requirements.
• Employee Expense Support: Provide guidance on expense submissions and conduct quarterly myFinance training sessions for employees.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose enhancements to improve workflow, automation, and controls.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for suppliers and collaborate closely with the Shared Services Center (SSC) and internal departments.

Your team
You will be part of our Accounts Payable team, which consists of two senior Accounts Payable Specialists and 1 manager in the Netherlands and one colleague in Belgium.

For this role, we are looking for someone with strong communication skills. You are sociable, a good team player, and able to express yourself clearly. You take your work seriously, think carefully before making changes, and work accurately. You are a hard worker and a reliable colleague.

We also request:

• Recent graduate or early-career professional in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Eager to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working in an international environment
• Basic Excel skills (formulas, sorting, pivot tables – a plus)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), Dutch is a plus
