The Platform Specialist role reports to the will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of our platform infrastructure. The primary focus will be on utilizing .Net technologies to enhance and optimize our platform's capabilities.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and subject matter experts to support and implement changes to our core financial services platforms
Key responsibilities;
Develop solutions by designing system specifications, standards and programming. C# development capability is essential.
Be actively involved in incident, problem and change management through to resolution.
Provide status updates and reporting metrics to the program leadership
Create/Manage Basic CI/CD Pipelines (Azure Devops)
Provide Ambit system and technical support to both internal and external customer/user.
Facilitate prompt incident troubleshooting, resolution, or escalation as appropriate.
Escalate and follow up incident/request sent to Application Vendor and third parties.
Participate in production release, patching and configuration.
Take part in system maintenance and environment management.
Produce system support document and knowledgebase.
Involved in system enhancement and coding/development.
Provide system improvement recommendation based on customer/user feedback.
Drive Continuous Improvement, promote best practice, build strong business partnership, and facilitate timely communication
Qualifications
IT engineering degree or similar
ITIL V3 or ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
Support experience with SQL Server, C#, Azure DevOps, Integration/API
C# development knowledge would be highly regarded.
Knowledge of FIS Ambit Asset Finance system is desirable.
Experience
Established experience in Application Support in financial services or other industry
Decent knowledge and experience in ITIL processes specifically Incidents, Problems and Change
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
An understanding and deep empathy for working with a broad range of business stakeholders and staff, specifically to understand their challenges and deliver business outcomes.
Knowledge of technologies (including new and emerging)
Ability to influence business outcomes through first class written and verbal skills.
Strong stakeholder management
Be flexible and be part of on-call/after-hour/shift-work roster as required
