Job Description Summary:
This position will have the responsibility for the strategic, operational, and financial direction and oversight of multiple departmental units within the revenue cycle. This leader will coordinate with other senior leadership to ensure that all operational revenue functions are aligned and optimized to meet or exceed customer requirements, maximize cash collections, and minimize cost to collect. Customers include patients, physicians, payers, vendors, and associates. The System Director of Revenue Cycle will be responsible for the revenue cycle entities and will work to appropriately integrate and facilitate best practices, achieve efficiencies that align with OHs strategic plan while maintaining quality, compliance and service delivery standards.Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field.
Years of experience: 10+ years progressive management and/or consulting experience in healthcare
Years of experience: of which 5+ years should be in revenue cycle management or a related area.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field from four-year college or university. Specific knowledge in managing and improving the performance of complex revenue cycle functions across multiple platforms and geographies. Working knowledge of Hospital and Professional Billing. In-depth knowledge of Medicare, and managed care billing and payment practices. In-depth knowledge of managed care rate elements and reimbursement techniques. Strong executive presence. Advanced understanding of all revenue cycle functions and interrelationships; Experienced in budgeting. Strong leadership presence and skills; proven capabilities in building and leading teams. Ability to work with others in a cooperative, collaborative manner. Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong computer/technical skills and knowledge. 10 plus years of progressive management and/or consulting Experience in a healthcare environment of which 5 plus years should be in revenue cycle management or a related area.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Operations Lead and mentor to improve revenue cycle operations and processes. Lead direct reports in planning, coordinating and executing policies, procedures and strategies. Act as the primary lead for multiple functional units within the revenue cycle, oversight all day to day operations, budget, and personnel matters. Ensure staff members are adequately trained across departments and coordinate this training with overall OH training objectives. Ensure compliance with state and federal law, compliance plans, HIPAA, The Joint Commission guidelines; ensure that internal controls and policies and procedures across departments are consistently tested and developed and align these controls to optimize the overall control environment of the revenue cycle. Identify new technologies to enhance revenue cycle operations and be the primary business champion for new technology implementations within the revenue cycle. Lead regular reviews of core billing metrics with team members. Develop a robust monitoring and metric reviews, implement feedback loops across departments to timely capitalize on improvement opportunities. Identify areas to improve customer service and enhance patient centricity within the revenue cycle.

Strategy Ensure that cross-departmental operations are optimized and aligned with all other operations within revenue cycle for OH and its business partners. Assist in setting the strategic direction of the OH revenue cycle and identifying areas of continuous improvement in conjunction with the Revenue Cycle, Finance, Hospital and Physician leadership. Develop strategies across functional departments to meet or exceed OH goals for key revenue cycle performance indicators. Provide vision for scalable, sustainable infrastructure to support future growth. Develop strategies to reduce the overall cost to collect across functional departments.
