【General Purpose】
Responsible for the profitable execution of assigned Systems Major Projects and/or Mechanical or Equipment Projects.
Work with Owner and contractor sales managers and branch installation managers and teams as needed to provide sales support activities and development processes, including strategy, vendor/partner selection, scope enhancements, value engineering, risk assessment, etc.
【Job Description】
• Manage the scope, costs, resources, and risks of assigned projects to deliver on time and within budget.
• Act as the primary on-site leader for execution teams on assigned projects. Develop Project Execution Plans, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organizational Chart, Safety Plan, Project Schedules, Issues/Risk Logs, and Staffing Requirements.
• Evaluate the contractual scope of work and the impact of client instructions/notices, field directives, and/or scheduling changes. Actively pursue change orders for these and additional work. Perform associated cost estimates, prepare proposals, and negotiate final settlement prices and customer acceptance.
• Manage accounts payables, billings, and collections. Complete project billings in a timely and accurate format to maintain positive cash flow.
• Analyze financial reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to management as required.
• Utilize Risk Logs to manage risks and establish project recovery plans when needed. Resolve disputes with minimal escalation.
• Prepare RFPs, negotiate, and issue subcontracts.
• Ensure project document controls comply with contract requirements and company standards.
• Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with Installation Vendor, team members, and/or Mechanical Team members to allocate resources needed to meet project objectives. Ensure any engineering and commissioning by the field team adhere to established standards. Facilitate escalation of product-related problems.
• Assist PD Leader and/or team members in project development efforts.
• Coordinate customer training requirements.
• For Technology, Mechanical, and Equipment projects, interface with and provide direction to project teams assigned to projects under the Connected Technology Project Management control.
• For Technology, Mechanical, and Equipment projects, self-perform sales support activities early in the audit process to provide input on vendor/partners selection, scope enhancements, value engineering, risk assessment, cost estimating, project scheduling, and project management.
• Provide feedback on the performance of Systems Engineers to Systems Engineering Leaders and Regional Installation Managers.
• Update the Service Sales team with major milestone completion status and assist them in securing Planned Service Agreements on installed projects.
• Perform Installation to Service turnover toward the end of every project.
【Requirements】
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent work-related experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of direct project management experience in the Building/Factory Construction Industry.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel will vary based on project assignments.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
