Global Partnerships’ mission is to drive non-linear growth for our users and Stripe by developing relationships with external partners that enable Stripe to create, enhance, and drive adoption of innovative, differentiated products. We strive to promote a thriving partner ecosystem, and help other Stripe teams accomplish their goals through rigorous and action-oriented business development, partner management, and partner operations activities. Strategy and Operations works cross-functionally within our group and across Stripe to drive and enable the growth of the business. We lead mission critical, cross-functional efforts, deliver objective analysis and insights, incubate new roles, and execute on strategic initiatives. Ensuring data-driven decision making is at the core of what we do. As part of our scope, we partner closely across Partnerships to ensure each team has the data and insights required to inform their partnership strategy and improve overall partnership health.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner deeply with teams across Stripe to ensure that our users, our products, and our business have the models, data products, and insights needed to make decisions and grow responsibly. You will work closely with business partners to extract insights from Stripe's rich and complex data. You will also work with leaders to translate business needs into data problems. You will build metrics, scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to inform and run the business. You will deliver actionable business recommendations through analyses and data storytelling. Examples of what you’ll be responsible for (not exhaustive):

  • Use SQL to run analyses and visualize data to support partner and internal Quarter Business Reviews, deal support and ad hoc queries
  • Synthesize data from CRM to provide insights into deal pipeline and partner health
  • Build and customize dashboards based on existing data tables
  • Build expertise and knowledge in specific domain areas be able to draw out first-level insights from data analysis

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-5+ years experience in Data Analysis or Business Intelligence roles
  • High proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Expertise in visualization and using data insights to make recommendations and achieve goals
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with great attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate results and drive impact
  • Comfortable collaborating across functions to identify data analytics problems and execute solutions with technical rigor and data-driven insights.
  • Role location is open to either the Stripe San Francisco or NYC offices. Not eligible to work from a remote location.

Preferred qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Prior experience at a growth stage internet or software company.
  • Experience with distributed data frameworks like Hadoop and Spark to write and debug data pipelines.
  • Good understanding of development processes and best practices like engineering standards, code reviews, and testing.
