About the Role

This role will make key contribution to the formulation of AIA’s digital and analytics strategies; support the development of markets' digital and analytics strategy planning and roadmap; communicate AIA’s digital and data analytics strategy to senior management of Group and BUs; proactively advise senior management on the emerging trends that are most relevant to the company’s goals and evolving needs; and review the current business capabilities and the progression towards target state on various AIA BUs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop company's digital and analytics strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Work closely with senior management to understand business requirements and find opportunities for digital, data and innovation powered by AI
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and reports to senior management and other collaborators, partners and shareholders
  • Perform business analysis, build capability heatmaps to provide awareness of impacts, dependencies, overlaps and opportunities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new technologies and trends that can benefit the organization
  • Build strong relationships with business groups across the enterprise, and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities
  • Guide local business units to analyse current maturity and define target state
  • Design appropriate and effective operating model to implement the strategies
  • Ensure visibility and collaboration between IT and business
  • Promote business-first and purposeful mentality
  • Work in conjunction with enterprise and domain architects in the technology enablement of core capabilities and value streams
  • Work on specific project assignment as identified by reporting manager to deliver the expected project objective on time on budget
  • Connect with vendors the strategy and architecture to ensure that vendors can support AIA Group effectively and efficiently
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by reporting manager in order to meet operational and / or other requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience with business strategy development and planning
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in top-tier strategy consulting firm or 8 years of management consultant or equivalent in insurance or financial services sector
  • Experience in working internationally spanning geographies in Asia
  • Understand the complexities and challenges of the organization, coordinated processes, and information in order to develop future-state models to best realize the company strategies
  • Adept in preparation of presentation materials to translate sophisticated subjects into clear and simple terms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and partner with key internal and external collaborators, partners and shareholders
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in technology and business software applications
  • Experience in handling budgets, capital investment preferred
