Technical Consultant – Storage and SAN

Job Summary

The Technical Consultant – Storage and SAN is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing storage and SAN (Storage Area Network) solutions for the organization’s customers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing IT environments while optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability.

What you will bring

Design, configure, and deploy storage and SAN solutions (hardware and software) based on customer requirements.
Provide technical expertise to the sales team, advising on product capabilities, integration strategies, and cost estimates.
Assess customer environments and develop customized solutions that align with business needs and IT infrastructure.
Ensure smooth integration of storage and SAN technologies with existing customer systems and applications.
Develop system architecture, technical models, and feasibility studies to guide implementation.
Write system and programming specifications to ensure effective deployment and alignment with customer expectations.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system guides and operational procedures.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization recommendations for deployed solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in storage infrastructure, SAN technologies, and enterprise IT environments.
Hands-on expertise with storage solutions from vendors such as Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, or Pure Storage.
Knowledge of SAN fabric design, zoning, and administration using Brocade or Cisco switches.
Familiarity with storage protocols (iSCSI, FC, FCoE, NFS, SMB) and enterprise backup solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with general supervision.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
