Role Purpose

​Lead and shape the management reporting analytics strategy across the global Mars Veterinary Health enterprise. The manager of management reporting and strategy is responsible for partnership across various teams within various business functions to generate new reports and analytics through the discovery and creation of user stories, data models, agile prototypes, delivery, and continuous improvement. The management reporting and strategy team will be the liaison to the technical MVH Data Platform and Business Unit Reporting teams to support data acquisition/ingestion, data catalogues, data modeling, data governance, and transformation strategy. 

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Deliver customer service focused on business units, centers of excellence and business partners.
  • Partner with analysts to plan and execute near and long-term reporting and data strategies that reflect business goals while leveraging enterprise platforms such as Power BI.
  • Facilitate discovery intake of business requirements and existing reports to generate user stories to drive the business intelligence lifecycle.
  • Deliver meaningful and insightful reporting & analytics just-in-time for the business using Agile methodology.
  • Work closely with IT Reporting & Analysis, EPM systems, MVH Data & Analytics, P&O analytics, and training teams to strive for common key performance indicators across the enterprise.
  • Co-create with the Data Platform team data architecture models and changes that will optimize reporting & analytics while reducing data redundancy.
  • Rapidly and effectively summarize complex information and present it to C-level associates, VPs, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Develop the skills of team reporting analysts to meet business objectives across multiple business units globally.
  • Pro-actively assess and challenge status quo, proposing innovative solutions to simplify and automate our reporting processes and tools while focusing on making reporting simpler to understand and driving right actions at all levels of the organization.
  • Own delivery of leading practices, and oversight of key MVH quality standards while providing the global perspective of MVH business transformation strategy.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. 
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Analytics or related field is required.
  • 12 years’ of experience in reporting and analytics is required.
  • Experience working with Power BI and Azure Data Lake is required.
  • Proficiency reporting and analyzing through BI tools is required.
  • Data Architecture and Cataloguing is preferred.
  • Azure DevOps and Master Data Services is preferred.
  • Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.

Salary: $130,000 – $190,000
