Consumer, Product, Brand & Marketplace Operations is the foundation of our product creation capability. You will be part of a team delivering holistic capabilities that integrate people, process, tools and data to continually redefine operational excellence and ensure that CPBM priorities are connected from strategy to delivery.  

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will report to the Senior Director for Central Operations. This role will manage our L&D team and partner closely with peers in change management, portfolio and program management, and business process team. In addition, you will collaborate with functional business leaders and other Ops teams.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Learning & Development Director to join the CBPM Ops Central Operations team. This role requires a leader with deep expertise and passion for the training domain, thinking “outside of the box” and at the leading edge of training and development experiences that drive individual and business outcomes. The candidate will have a successful track record managing complex, digitally-enabled training programs in a corporate environment. We are looking for a team leader who can inspire and motivate teams in a fast-paced working environment and serve as an advisor and coach for our stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Education, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in learning and development, with at least 3-5 years of people leadership
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and various training methodologies
  • Experience working cross-functionally to influence decisions and drive change at scale
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and not-technical stakeholders and with global and geo stakeholders
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Experience in a similar industry and/or matrixed organization
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to transition between strategic and creative ideation to execution and delivery
  • Experience activating complex change initiatives in large organizations with the ability to
    apply design thinking principles to develop targeted and strategic learning solutions
  • Familiarity with LMS solutions and creative tool suites

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will:

  • Collaborate with Central Ops peers (Change Management, Program Management, Portfolio), as well as functional business leaders and other Ops partners to understand and deliver the capabilities required to deliver best in class experiences to Nike consumers
  • Lead the development and implementation of best in class learning experiences from strategy through value delivery
  • Collaborate with peers and senior leaders to identify training needs and develop tailored learning solutions
  • Inspire your team of L&D professionals and foster a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Define metrics/KPIs for L&D team and delivery and analyze training outcomes and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Align program learning strategy, curriculum design, and development plans based on portfolio priorities and resourcing model
  • Ensure that industry leading practices are incorporated into learning programs
  • Define and manage the strategy for use of CPBM Ops learning technology
  • Develop & maintain ecosystem partnerships with vendors to advance CPBM Ops goals
  • Be visionary about the art of the possible for the future of learning, and assess opportunities to create new value chains from your team
