About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Specialist, located in Cairo, Egypt. This role leads and executes all aspects of the quality program to profitably meet customer and product regulatory requirements related to the quality management system and related business quality strategies. Promotes and enables a customer-focused culture across multiple plants or within a single plant with complex interfaces and/or requirements. Requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities. Works across a site, hub or region to provide analytical solutions, method development and validation, implementation of Most Effective Technology (MET) and improvements to lab productivity for manufacturing plant/product support and Quality Control Lab technical services.
Responsibilities
- Investigates quality complaints, performs root cause investigations, and leads CAPA.
- Identifies and leads product quality improvement opportunities and problem-solving efforts at the plant level, as determined through data analysis, customer feedback, continual improvement projects, and other quality-related programs.
- Provides an effective interface between customers and the plant to ensure consistent high-quality service to customers. Represents the “Voice of the Customer” at the plant level.
- Ensures plant Operating Discipline system, procedures, and guidelines meet quality system requirements, as appropriate, and serves as the element focal point for the quality requirements of the Operating Discipline Management System.
- Supports continuous improvement projects.
- Generates and uses quality data to drive product quality improvements.
- Leads plant and/or site-level management of change activities related to product quality.
- Assists with the plant quality system audit program and conducts internal and third-party audits, in conjunction with Business or Site strategies, leveraging findings to drive continual improvement.
- Reviews and updates site procedures, when necessary, with the global quality team.
- Reviews and approves new products introduced to the site and approves tests’ applicability according to local lab capabilities.
- Various responsibilities overseeing the laboratory and quality analysis, including but not limited to:
- Performs complex analyses and interprets and reports analytical data.
- Provides analytical technology expertise to resolve process, product, and analytical problems.
- Monitors and improves analytical system and lab management system performance and capability.
- Provides expertise for troubleshooting and repairing analytical instruments.
- Develops, validates, and supports analytical methods.
- Applies established analytical technologies to meet business needs.
- Documents analytical methods and validations, technology evaluations, and innovations.
- Manages lab equipment preventive maintenance and calibration plans with third-party.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of quality, manufacturing, or related experience is required.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor Certificate is a plus.
