We are seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to implement our strategy and roadmap on developing AB’s Private Wealth talent pool in India. This position is located in Pune and will have a matrix reporting structure to the Private Wealth Talent Development team in the US. This is an exciting opportunity to establish training plans and protocols for new roles being created in a new office. The Learning & Development Specialist is an integral partner in managing training activities and ensuring operational proficiency in our newest Pune, India hires; often providing new hires with their first impression of Bernstein Private Wealth Management. An ideal candidate must possess excellent project management and organizational skills, build strong relationships with internal clients, possess great communication and coaching skills, have the ability to shift priorities at a moment’s notice, and enjoy the challenges of helping to develop the next generation of talent in a growing organization.
What You’ll Do:
Design and implement training programs for Private Wealth Management new hires in our Pune, India office with the goal of ensuring new hires are functionally competent in their role. This will involve:
Producing and updating instructional materials and performance support materials
Designing evaluation methods to determine the impact of training program(s)
Demonstrating expert presentation and facilitation skills
Providing hands-on coaching and feedback to trainees
Partner with the Training Team to provide feedback and resources to trainee's managers
Drive technology enhancements to improve the efficiency of training programs
Solicit and implement feedback from managers, participants, and internal partners to ensure programs meet current and future business needs
Spearhead regular content review of existing training modules with internal partners
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field.
Experience developing and facilitating organizational or adult learning programs
Expert knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess:
Superior communication skills including interpersonal communication, written communications, and classroom and virtual facilitation skills
Demonstrated history of providing direct feedback and effective coaching to individuals
Advanced business and HR acumen, including advanced problem-solving skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and a willingness to be vocally self-critical
The candidate must thrive in a busy environment and work well under pressure
A positive and can-do attitude
He/she must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and have demonstrated success managing multiple areas of responsibility at once
Experience in instructional design or with digital learning management systems, such as Brainshark, a plus
Previous work experience in an international, cross-functional role preferred
2-3 years experience in financial services or a related field preferred
