The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Aerospace Business Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Overseeing the cross-functional business planning process and business execution rhythm, ensuring alignment forecasts and critical sales operations metrics to deliver on operational plans.
• Working closely with the Business Unit Leader to operationalize strategic plans and translate business strategy into operating objectives, KPIs, and functional metrics.
• Driving cross-divisional alignment and operating cadence to drive Total 3M relevance in aerospace
• Leading comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential adjacent technologies that align with strategic growth objectives.
• Managing the drumbeat of reporting and special deliverable requests to ensure alignment on aerospace business progress across the corporation
• Investigating industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategy and identify emerging opportunities
• Leading multiple critical development project teams for the aerospace organization include creation and execution of the overall project timeline as well as management of cross-functional teams to meet objectives

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Six(6+) years of business leadership, project management, strategic business development, new product marketing, and/or product commercialization experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in science, engineering or business
• Program Management and/or Agile SCRUM Certification
• Action-oriented with a strong focus on execution and results.
• Proven ability to manage projects with multiple workstreams and lead cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success in providing innovative solutions to complex strategic challenges.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills to engage senior executives in high-pressure environments.
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach, diplomatic, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to St. Paul, MN at least 2 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 15% global

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
