Position Background:
We are the AMS Digital Retail Strategy team, within Global Go-To-Market Advanced Analytics Organization. Our mission is to maximize HP Retail’s online business and sales.
The person supports the AMS Omnichannel business with daily analytics needs. Works on complex problems where analysis data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors and data quality checks. Validates findings using an experimental and iterative approach. Tracks, analyses and interprets trends in data in order to provide relevant conclusions and recommendations to management. Demonstrates business focus, strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to quickly identify data sets to be transformed into actionable insights. Has excellent communications skills to report back the outcome of the work in a clear and structured manner. Crucial to be a strong team player partnering with other teams.
Responsibilities:
Manages and collects data requirements, prepare & prioritize plans to address stakeholder needs and ensure timely execution of projects.
Proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets. Deals with large size of data, big data, and ensures that data that is accurate and reliable.
Selects key information and conclusions to develop a comprehensive set of recommendations for optimizing business and sales performance.
Consults with business leaders on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process and related projects.
Influence and inform stakeholders through data analysis and presentation of data-based recommendations.
Develops a strong partnership with Data Science and Data Engineering teams in performing complex data extractions, manipulations, and validation to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of analytic models.
Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Job Requirements:
Typically has 7-10 years of relevant work experience in business analytics, digital analytics, data analysis or business strategy,
Bachelor/Master degree in Marketing/Business/Economics/Statistics is preferred.
Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of Excel, SQL, PowerPoint.
Intermediate knowledge of Python.
Experience in data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, and influence.
Good project management skills, including project structuring.
Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to project objectives.
Nice to Have:
Experience with pre-post and A/B testing would be a plus.
Experience with R would be a great plus.
Knowledge of Databricks would be a plus.
Knowledge of online advertising would be beneficial.
