The opportunity:

We have an opportunity available for a Head of Marketing Services – Brand and Health to join our AIA team in Melbourne. Reporting to the General Manager -Brand and Marketing, within this role you will develop the brand and health performance marketing team, supporting AIA’s future fit strategy, by driving our lovemark brand - through brand and performance marketing. You will build brand relevancy and trust that positions AIA as the leading Life, Health and Wellbeing insurer.

The Head of Marketing Services is responsible for managing the direction, development and consistent delivery of our brand and direct to customer campaigns and communications (i.e.) creative services, brand content, brand and acquisition campaigns, events, brand ambassadors and partnerships across B2B and B2C audiences through owned and paid media channels. You will manage our portfolio of ambassadors and sponsorships to build effective marketing plans that demonstrate shared value for all.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Work with GM Brand and Marketing to govern and deliver the AIA enterprise brand Lovemark strategy for AIA, AIA Vitality and AIA Health and AIA Financial Wellbeing
  • Lead the creation and oversee implementation of integrated marketing plans across channels, led by the brand team and including sponsorships, events, social/content, ambassadors and advertising
  • Lead the media buying agency and strategy in an agile environment
  • Coach and manage the Marketing Services team, driving high levels of team engagement to enable and underpin performance – with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Execute our sponsorship strategy and plans and review proposals and recommendations to effectively manage our sponsorship contractual execution
  • Oversee events and sponsorship team in delivery, ensuring full channel integration
  • Execute the brand Ambassador strategy and plans to drive efficiencies for cross channel teams and ensure maximum leverage for AIA
  • Work closely with the CEO office to review and refine ambassador and affiliate programs against contractual deliverables and an ROI
  • Build the brand content strategy and playbook to align to the overall creative platform and brand strategy. Oversee the annual content plans as required to build our lovemark and to support brand and growth objectives
  • Work closely with AIA Digital teams to ensure an optimal digital shop-front experience for AIA
  • Collaborate with agencies to establish regular campaign reporting, measurement and PIRs

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience working within a strategic B2C role (client or agency) and a background in digital or insurance/fintech organisation
  • Success in defining and delivering innovative brand and marketing strategies with a track record for driving change that has delivered step change growth outcomes
  • Proven experience leading and coaching large high performance marketing teams with senior calibre direct reports
  • The ability to lead digital marketing channels. Specifically, the development and execution of a direct-to-consumer channel
  • Experience managing media planning, buying, budgets and agency management
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised and outcome driven
  • The ability to lead, influence, negotiate and engage at all levels of the organisation, especially at an Executive level.
  • Experience developing creative campaign ideas that are engaging and drive strong digital results.
