In this role you will be the Product Owner for Quick Card Verification and Activation.  You will lead a cross-functional squad responsible for maintaining a simple, streamlined and speedy verification and activation journey. There will be a particular focus on delivering an industry-leading application fulfilment experience as part of the Origination Modernisation project.

Leading the Quick Card Verification and Activation Squad, this role in pivotal to the successful delivery of a new Credit Card fulfilment experience. You will report to the Crew Lead for Credit Cards, who will support you with your performance and development. You will play a critical role in the delivery of new initiatives relating to credit card verification and activation in the Commbank App, Netbank and Commsee CRMs. You will develop new, and enhance existing customer experiences, drive continuous improvement, and manage risk initiatives across our credit card platforms.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver enhancements to the Credit Card Verification experience: you will lead a cross functional squad of engineers, QAs and product managers to uplift elements of verification, including Document Upload, Commsee workbenches and Application Status Tracker.
  • Credit Card Activation Journey: Ownership of the credit card activation journey. Identify opportunities to improve the experience and increase the rate of digital issuance.  
  • Process and Policy Simplification: working with Credit Risk, Credit Policy and Retail Operations, you will identify and implement opportunities to simplify verification policy and process.
  • Risk management: Responsible for proactively managing risks including performance of regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of issues including remediation.  
  • Compliance: Ensure that credit card products comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and assist with regulatory responses.

  • Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment.
  • Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. This role will see you working across risk, digital, marketing and compliance.
  • Experience in building best practice and innovative customer experiences, customer engagement and product development.
  • Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions.
  • Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree Preferred.
