The Opportunity
Robust Information Security governance and controls, including Cyber and related Physical Security controls, are core to P&G’s future success. The cyber threats continue to evolve, and P&G is not exempt from attacks. That is why, GBS is prioritizing interventions to improve security posture of organization.
This role will be accountable to the GBS InfoSec Accelerator Leader. As an Information Security Project Manager in Global Business Services (GBS), you will be accountable for the delivery and execution of critical Information Security strategic choices and projects. You will be partnering with Corporate Function InfoSec as well as GBS Business and Technical Information Security Leaders to deliver InfoSec related projects in line with scope, time, cost and quality baselines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project team and project activities of key Information Security initiatives across Global Business Services. Make sure project objectives are delivered within defined Scope, Time, Cost & Quality
- Lead and drive technical expertise in connection with business needs and the broader Information Security organization to address those needs
- Interface across the organization with other teams, such as information security, systems & infrastructure operations, governance teams etc. as well as externally with external suppliers
Job Qualifications
- Project Management: Previous project management experience and demonstrated success in leading teams to a common deliverable. Ability to manage stakeholders’ engagement, communication & project activities within multiple organizations. Practical experience of balancing through project constraints (Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality) to achieve project objectives.
- Leadership: Candidate must demonstrate a history of capable leadership for the areas he/she previously managed. The ability to identify business needs along with the initiative to address them is required. Tangible results and improvement in areas of ownership must be demonstrated.
- Technical Mastery: Technical knowledge and experience in running operations for applications or platforms will be an advantage. Candidate needs the ability to quickly penetrate technology areas and ask appropriate and relevant technical questions to aid in scoping resolution plans, performing risk assessments, and developing recovery strategies.
- Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) not required on hiring; but should be completed within 18 months.
- Passion for Stewardship: Candidate should have sufficient stewardship experience and demonstrate sufficient stewardship responsibilities (and success in delivering them) in previous roles. Experience in driving compliance in Business Continuity Management and Information Security not required, but a plus.
- Sense of Urgency, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Risk-Taking: Track record of demonstrating visible sense of urgency during high pressure, time-bound activities. The role requires intelligent risk-taking and ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Individual must be comfortable making decisions based on data at hand, reconcile multiple streams of information in driving incident or issue resolution, and drive for aligned direction in a timely manner. Ability to keep resources accountable to action plans based on deep technical mastery across multiple platforms and services.
- Communication, Influence, and Strong Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must have ability to translate business needs into technical requirements to drive InfoSec goals. Candidate must be able to effectively work with diverse groups of people and function as a leader and a team member, depending on the need. Candidate needs the ability to leverage and engage extensive network of internal and external subject matter experts to drive project needs.
- Innovates and Reapplies: Candidate needs mindset of continuous improvement and drive for elevating quality of how we execute Information Security initiatives and Business Continuity Planning. Candidate needs to be open to adopt new tools, concepts, and processes to better improve GBS in these stewardship domains.
- Vendor Management: Candidate should have good vendor management experience. Role will require reliance on partners to drive the work and candidate must effectively interact and engage with partners to ensure P&G is receiving the agreed service scope and delivery.
