What you will do -  

As the Surgical Case Dispatcher, you will be instrumental in the planning, routing delivery, and pickup of all scheduled cases, optimizing and ensuring that all drivers are effectively utilized, meeting transportation budgets, and cost reduction strategies as they pertain. 

  • Meet established metrics for operations (i.e., turns, service levels).
  • Coordinate expired replacement pick up’s and drop offs as requested by warehouse teams, as well as the timely return of all inventory to its correct location.
  • Route efficiency planning – communicate with all surgical case coordinators to efficiently manage multiple routes while simultaneously reducing overall mileage, overtime, and costs.
  • Communication with sales partners to establish relationships with both teams.
  • Ensure all cases are delivered on time, complete, and to the correct facility.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize driver capacity, considering variables like peak times, fluctuations in demand, and operational priorities. Collaborate seamlessly with both Inbound and Outbound teams, offering essential support and capacity as needed to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain and update customer delivery instructions and location drop offs.
  • Prepare vehicle maintenance reports and ensure scheduled maintenance of all vehicles.

What you need -  

Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant/professional experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including weekend(s) and evening(s) as needed
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in logistics, inventory, delivery, and customer service

Travel Percentage: 10%
