What You'll Bring:
What You Will Bring
- 8-10 years’ experience testing software testing
- Experience of testing in an agile lifecycle
- The desire to maintain high quality and good practices
- Experience of running automated tests and deployments
- A good understanding of version control practices
- The ability to communicate well, both with technical and non-technical staff
- Knowledge or experience of testing Web Service APIs
- Experience of agile acceptance test tools
Desirable skills
- Ability to build and maintain automation test frameworks in C#
- Experience of non-functional testing
- Experience running performance tests and analysing the results
- Knowledge of SQL Server
- Familiar with Security scanning tools (e.g. Fortify/Sonar/Checkmarx)
Impact You'll Make:
How You Will Contribute
- Partner with global TransUnion technical teams to test products and features aligned to the Consumer roadmap using agreed technologies & tooling working closely with the Tech Lead and UK based Software Architect & Test Lead
- Actively participate with the UK development teams using an agile approach ensuring testing is considered at every stage of development, delivering consistency and quality whilst aligning with community best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams.
- Mentor, assist and support less experienced colleagues as required.
- Define test approach, scenarios and acceptance criteria for the evolving solution with the aim of validating requirements at the earliest stage of the development process.
- Organise, specify and carry out testing throughout the development lifecycle
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure reported issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
- Extend and run regression tests appropriately to support the release of the new service through the route to live.
- Assist in the extensive, yet appropriate, automation of tests to deliver maximum repeatability
- Take responsibility for ensure completion of Test Approach and Test Summary reports along with any other required supporting documentation to ensure adherence to compliance processes.
- Help encourage a culture of continuous improvement to enable process and team maturity improvement.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
