We are currently looking for an Automotive Digital Design Intern to join our team in San Diego, CA.
Primary function is the design development of two-dimensional representations of future Nissan and Infiniti products.
A Day in the Life:
Develop 3D representations of 2D sketch proposals which represent future automotive designs for both Nissan and Infiniti, using Alias, SubD or Blender
Creatively visualize and interpret design concepts into the digital form, taking into account the visual proportions, line character, weight, directional quality and total harmony of the design.
Creatively interpret engineering requirements into the digital design
Create CG renderings of exterior and interior design projects using VRED or Unreal
Work in a fast paced, dual brand, multiple project, creative environment
Understand current trends and requirements in US and international automobile design
Who We’re Looking for:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Design or a related field
Graduating after completion of the internship
GPA of 3.0 or above
3D software: Alias Autodesk, SubD or Blender
Visualization software: VRED or Unreal
Intermediate use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator. Autodesk Alias, Sub-D, VRED, VR tools
Microsoft PowerPoint and MS Office in a Windows PC environment.
Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
Self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets
Strong communication skills
