Role Definition

The Remanufacturing Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager in Human Resources and Talent Management. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies that directly align with our business objectives. Your expertise will extend to supporting over 150 global employees across business resources, sales & marketing, and business development. As a global talent management leader, you’ll drive initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent within our workforce of 4,000+ global employees. Additionally, you’ll take ownership of critical divisional processes, including performance management, diversity & inclusion, and learning and development. 


What You Will Do:
 

  • Serving as a thought leader for talent management programs and technology; Providing advice and support to business and HR leaders, addressing talent management related questions and requests. 
  • Leading team of talent management professionals to collaborate effectively with Centers of Excellence and serve as thought partners to the business and HR 
  • Collaborating with senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. 
  • Aligning HR policies and programs for their division which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance. 
  • Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc. 
  • Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management. 
  • Developing and implementing change management methods and materials to facilitate deployment of HR programs and processes and talent management activities


 

What You Have:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience desired 
  • Succession Planning: Knowledge of policies, techniques, methods and processes of succession planning; ability to identify and develop internal employees for the future fulfillment of an organization's core positions. 
  • Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations. 
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. 
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. 
  • Training and Development: Knowledge of employee training and development methodologies; ability to ensure that a target population has the knowledge and skills required to meet both tactical and strategic objectives. 
  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. 
  • Talent Management : Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals. 

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience with internal Caterpillar best business practices
  • Experience presenting complex themes to audiences at various levels within an organization
