The Senior Payroll Specialist will be involved in end-to-end processing of payrolls including analysis of payroll reports and documents for accuracy.

Initial 6-month contract that will likely extend to 12 months

The Senior Payroll Specialist will be involved in end-to-end processing of payrolls including analysis of payroll reports and documents for accuracy. As an expert in the content and technical side of SAP, you will be responsible for the set-up of the system for payroll and conduct periodic reviews, finding and resolving malfunctions and fixing problems.

Initial 6-month contract that will likely extend to 12 months

To do this successfully you will:

  • End to end processing of payrolls for AIA including third party payments and statutory reporting.
  • Evaluating wage type characteristics and outputs ensuring compliance with legislation (PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers’ comp, FBT etc.)
  • Processing UAT testing, upgrades and system upgrades whilst liaising with HRIT specialists.
  • Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour.
  • Defining payroll processes with the HR Process Workbench and creating process models
  • Identifying opportunities and designing solutions for simplification and automation of payroll process
  • Periodic review of ADP Blueprint to align with legislative requirements and AIA policy.
  • Create & maintain user and training documentation/SOP’s for payroll and conducting formal training sessions with new team members.
  • Conducting weekly Masterfile audits to ensure data integrity & accuracy.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in SAP Global View HR/HCM
  • Successful track record of Australia payrolls and full lifecycle SAP HR and/or Payroll implementation projects.
  • Experience working in Global organisations, building relationships and getting things done through influence and understanding of the enterprise context.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive employment data
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP HR & Payroll reporting, data analysis, processes, and reconciliations
  • Experience working with ADP Globalview Managed Services outsourced vendor
  • Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel & Access skills. Power BI would be beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders
