THE TEAM
TM1 Experience Division works with other teams on delivering a B2B application that is used to create and manage events for the Ticketmaster website. You will actively participate in overall solution and architecture design of the systems supported by your team.
You will participate in the development and design of frontend solutions. While working independently with minimal supervision, you will rely on your wide-range of experience and technical expertise to propose new solutions, ideas and foster relationships with peers in different teams and offices. You will use your skills and experience to take initiatives, solve problems, resolve roadblocks and advanced troubleshooting techniques in order to fulfill the service objectives. You will transform the TM1 application iteratively to bring it inline with today’s best practices while introducing and promoting new and simpler integration patterns.

THE JOB
A Senior Software Engineer is someone who is independent, fast-learning, self-starter and provides technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team. You are responsible for translating business objectives into technical solutions and there by building, delivering and maintaining the products.You’ll be challenged to envision the technical aspects and solutions for the future landscape of globalizing and unifying the products.  This role is a great opportunity to grow your technical skills and deliver highly impactful products that help millions of fans to experience live events.

You will work with a large variety of technologies on multiple projects and will be part of an DevOps & Agile team, responsible for the full end to end delivery of new functionalities, including testing and production support.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Participate in development work across software teams.
  • Stay current in the technology landscape.
  • Connect with a series of stakeholders in order to implement strategies to evolve products for success (UX, Product, PMO).
  • Objectively explore multiple approaches and recommend the best technical direction including logic and reasoning.
  • Meaningful participation in web and service layer architecture design.
  • Foster and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain and curate documentation and standards
  • Consolidate, catalog, review and sanitize existing technical documents
  • Ensure that solution designs created by development teams consider security risk, and have appropriate mitigations in place
  • Keep abreast of potential security risks ensure they are captured so that these risks can be appropriately tracked and closed down
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
  • Significant senior engineering and development experience.
  • Strong frontend development skills.
  • Wide range of understanding of technologies.
  • Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, GraphQL, Design System, Monorepo, Microfrontend, Web components, Responsive, Mobile.
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting, debugging, fixing issues, and finding possibilities to automate routine tasks.
  • Experience in creating testing harness/infrastructure/test cases/Automation geared towards ensuring the quality of the product using testing frameworks like Junit, TestNG, Mockito, WireMock, Jest.
  • Assets:
  • Experience with DevOps tools and workflows such as Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalents.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Springboot, Gitlab
