You’ll be a technical lead on Infrastructure projects involving design, analysis, maintenance, and implementation of core infrastructure systems as part of a strong IT team facing increasing work volume and complexity. As a Systems Administrator, every task you perform, every conversation you have and every issue you resolve enables the overall mission and goals of WSECU. Are you up for this challenge?

Your day may include:

  • Leading infrastructure project involving design, analysis, maintenance, and implementation of core infrastructure systems including SCCM, VMware, storage, Metaframe/Terminal servers, Windows servers, enterprise applications, and databases
  • Reliable and securing technical operation and maintenance of all servers. Ensuring mission critical servers are available and operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Systems installation and removal to include installing and testing, decommissioning and removing, and system(s) components
  • Developing procedures and standards for installation and handover to maintain and improve the installation service
  • Installing, managing, controlling, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure systems software, to meet operational needs and service levels
  • Investigating and resolving system software problems, requesting action from supplier if required
  • Managing the life cycle of all problems that occur in delivering a service
  • Contributing to maintenance and installation. Monitoring and reporting on infrastructure performance to enable service delivery
  • Carrying out agreed operational procedures, including backup/restore, using supplied infrastructure tools and scripts
  • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on infrastructure load, performance, and security events. Identifying operations issues and contributing to their resolution

What you bring to the team:

  • Two (2) year technical degree or higher
    • A combination of education, experience, and certification(s) may be substitution for the degree
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a high-demand IT environment with continuously growing responsibilities
  • Minimum of two (2) Years of experience as a system administrator
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator or similar certification, or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Network+ and Security+ Certifications, or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Ability to use formulas, perform calculations, and link items in Excel
  • Minimum of Four (4) years’ experience as a Systems Administrator

Competitive pay: $69,793.46 - $104,690.20 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package

  • The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
  • The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.

Position location: 330 Union Ave SE Olympia, WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a work from home/hybrid position with the exception of occasional on-site trainings, on-site meetings, and specific organization events.

When you'd work:  Monday-Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with scheduling flexibility required to meet service needs for this full-time Exempt position.
