In this Product Curation Specialist role, you will work with external partners, our suppliers, and internal stakeholder teams to to select and evaluate products that meet the design style and quality requirements of Wayfair Specialty Retail Brand & Flagship Brand in order to launch products both online and offline for Wayfair customers.

We are looking for a ShangHai based Senior Merchandising Manager to help us profitably build and grow our exclusive assortment and qualified suppliers. You will be expected to define overarching goals and strategy for the assortment expansion & curation, problem-solve, articulate and execute against tactical plans, and manage key business metrics. WGS Merchandising Managers must be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Develop and manage WF Global Selling diff2.0 curation strategy in alignment with Wayfair overall diff2.0 goals and collaborate across geographies with the North America team.
  • Working alongside our core functional teams and in very close collaboration with the Curation Brands & Stores Enablement team, Specialty Retail Brands team, understand the brand positioning, strategic direction, product requirements, and quality standards of WF's Specialty Retail Brands & Flagship Brands.
  • Collaborate with Wayfair supplier account management teams, engage a portfolio of Asia based suppliers, driving assortment development in alignment with the overall WF line plan and product requirement, negotiating business terms and reviewing performance.
  • Create and Innovate work models & standards to expand and motivate this work across both internal and external stakeholders. Determine tactical next steps and strategic vision, involving the relevant cross-functional teams
  • Attend trade shows, showrooms, factories, and/or other travel to meet key suppliers,as well as travel to the US (might be other global markets). 
  • Identify trends, problems, and opportunities for either the assortment or supplier segment,  and collaborate with internal teams to drive change
  • Managing team members, able to provide guidance and directions towards junior members in the team and lead the team to accomplished target

What You'll Need:

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English, both speaking and writing.
  • A track record of success in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively and negotiating to drive multi-departmental projects.
  • Track record of leading successful product developments.
  • Demonstrated success in building business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced level Excel and PowerPoint expertise,Analytical mindset and data-driven approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Innovative problem-solving skills; dissecting and determining the root causes of problems and implementing solutions
  • Experience in a product development or E-commerce environment is advantageous
