About the role
This Analyst position will form part of our APAC Equity Research team; which provides large cap research coverage and idea generation for our portfolio teams. The role will cover companies listed in Asia Pacific ex Japan, with primary focus on India and small to mid cap. Team members are based predominantly in Singapore.
Investment Excellence
- Produce consistently high-quality fundamental research and generate compelling investment insights relevant to our strategies, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques
- Monitor sector, country and market developments and trends
- Regularly engage with company management to enhance and refresh your investment insights
- Fully integrate environmental, social and governance analysis into company research and develop a comprehensive understanding of the supporting tools
- Build and expand upon relationships with relevant brokers, industry analysts and experts
- Effectively formulate, share and articulate timely investment recommendations and insights to contribute to the delivery of sustainable outperformance of portfolios
- Participate effectively in discussions with portfolio managers to convey investment insights and support views
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to shape research priorities and ensure an appropriate spread of ideas across strategies and regions
- Help to build a diverse and connected team where we share best practice, uphold high research standards and commit to a culture of continuous improvement
- Execute at pace to deliver better outcomes
Risk Management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant compliance and dealing procedures.
- Comply with all regulatory, legal, corporate and client mandates
Skills and Experience
- More than 5 years of research experience and a demonstrable track record of value creation
- A passion for investing
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to self-motivate, handle multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines
