Role Summary

  • This role will be the primary point of contact for US Market Transport (MT) compliance with EHS/ESG and GSC Global Sustainability requirements.

  • This role will support and grow the MT Sustainability capability through industry benchmarking, tracking/visibility using IMEx processes and tools, and provide project management for MT projects.

  • This role will support internal Business Intelligence projects and will lead Reporting and Analytics activities.

  • This role supports daily operations and is the primary contact for Logistic Center and Customer Service stakeholders.

Role Responsibilties

  • Market Transport Sustainability primary point of contact

    • Lead the MT Sustainability capability and work directly with EHS/ESG and GSC Global Sustainability colleagues to ensure compliant CO2e reporting.

    • Accountability for supporting CO2e reduction projects through project management and thought leadership.

    • Work directly with transportation suppliers to identify CO2e reduction pilots and develop the business case for LT consideration.

    • Incorporate CO2e reduction methodologies into MT business practices and processes.

  • Support and grow the Market Transport Sustainability capability

    • Develop standard work process flows and controls for the MT Sustainability capability.

    • IMEX compliance: ensure all MT Sustainability projects are effectively managed in DOC/CI Loop

    • Participate in internal and external benchmarking and thought leadership forums.

    • Lead or co-lead proper change management for the implementation of sustainable MT solutions

  • Lead Reporting and Analytics activities in support of Business Intelligence projects

    • Project Management – Partner with Digital teams to implement key metrics and reporting solutions across the Logistics Network.  This would include shipments on time and in full, and future sustainability metrics (Celonis)

    • Digital Subject Matter Expert – Be the primary interface to the Pfizer Digital teams assuring the business requirements are understood and represented in the budgeting process 

    • Data Visualization - Apply analytics and basic programing to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams, graphs, and data trends

    • Implementation and Business Adaption – Assure solutions are tested, maintained, and adopted across the US Logistic network.

  • Operations Support

    • Act a primary contact for issue mitigation for Logistic Centers and the three customer service groups

    • Support carrier qualification process as needed

    • Support transport data management solutions (TMS/SAP/Freight Audit and Pay)

    • MT Quality and Compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree in Logistics/Transportation, Business Administration, engineering, Supply Chain with 8 years of experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Transportation, Business Administration, engineering, Supply Chain with at least 5 years of experience OR Masters Degree with more than 3 years of experience, OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.

  • Experience in transportation, engineering, customer service, supply chain or logistics

  • Experience with Sustainability concepts and reporting

  • Strong analytical skills and very proficient in MS Office Suite programs and database mining

  • Strong inter-personal skills.  Comfortable managing supplier relationships, working in cross-functional teams, and presenting ideas and concepts to senior management

  • Demonstrable data analysis skills (SQL, Tableau Prep, UDH etc.)

  • Strong analytical capability required – ability to observe patterns and trends in data

  • Strong project management, communication, presentation, and data analysis are required

  • Willing to travel, mainly within North America region 10% - 25%. 

  • Willing to work variable hours and off-site depending on stakeholder availability and project requirements

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
