The role will be responsible to assist in Data Quality Management i.e. Data Analysis, Data Cleansing & Data Quality Monitoring, facilitating BNM Regulatory reports such as CCRIS and other Regulatory reporting as well work closely with Business and IT to implement best practices for enhancement. The successful candidates will reports to Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in Data Quality Improvement efforts such as set-up of data quality criteria, analysis of data error causes and data error correction.

  • Assist in Data Quality Monitoring initiatives such as data quality planning, data quality measurement and identification of success factors.

  • Assist to formulate Data governance policies and document the underlying data sources, structures and systems with the objective to synchronize multiple data feeds and to minimize errors in Regulatory reporting.

  • Work with Business units and IT to understand and improve existing processes, implement best practices and to enhance the various Systems to ensure data accuracy at source and for any new Regulatory reporting project implementation.

  • Assist to plan, coordinate and follow-up Data Quality activities systematically.

  • Assist to facilitate the submission of new reports relating to Regulatory reporting.

  • Work with the relevant Operations and Business Units on matters relating to Regulatory reporting and tracking of the Data Quality initiatives.

  • Update SOP on regular basis as dictated by the Bank’s policy.

Job Requirements:

  • Malaysian Citizen.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance or a recognized professional tertiary qualification in related field &/or with related working experience.

  • 3-5 years working experience in Data Quality and Regulatory Reporting in the financial services industry.

  • Knowledge of the Retail Banking System and Cards Host System will be an advantage.

  • Fluent in English (speak & write) and proficient of Excel (at least Intermediate stage).
