Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Development/Automation Engineer in Hopkins, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Development/Automation Engineer position is responsible for software development and support of the bank’s sales and onboarding platform application, which includes ensuring the quality of the final product through the build out of manual and automated tests. The Development/Automation Engineer position will include software development, automation test design, automation test harness development, and coordination with other groups within the bank to deliver the overall solution. Responsibilities include: Perform software coding tasks to support UI (web/mobile) including A11y skills and API development (SOAP/REST); Develop automated tests and test frameworks for frontend and backend systems; Improve process and quality via test and process automation: defining right strategy and technology based on process and architecture assessment by engaging different roles and stakeholders; Use tools for Web, Mobile, Desktop, DB and Web-service testing (Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, SoapUI, etc.); Utilize DevOps and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation approaches and solutions; Authoring, build and adopt large scale, cross-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database levels; Use different test automation approaches (keyword-driven, Data-driven, BDD, hybrid) and technology stacks (Java, Spring, JavaScript, Python, etc., jQuery, Angular JS,); to develop custom test automation methodologies and adapt them to clients’ reality; Integrate test automation into CI/CD process and instrument full SDLC automation, specifically cloud testing execution, reporting tools such as ALM, Jira; Lead and collaborate E2E Testing efforts with various cross functional teams for including backend and database testing. Basic Qualifications:

The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. The qualified candidate must have at least 5 year (60 months) of experience as an automation engineer, IT analyst or closely related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. The qualified candidate must have at least 5 year (60 months) of experience as an automation engineer, IT analyst or closely related occupation. The qualified candidate must have at least 5 years (60 months) of experience with all the following: Working with project lifecycle management including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support; Developing complex Oracle/SQL queries to create project metrics and perform data integrity validations; Software development for test automation using Selenium, UFT for Java and .Net Solution environments; Designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using VB and C#.Net; and Utilizing all the following: Selenium, HP UFT, Jira, Jenkins, Java, VB, C#.Net, Oracle, and SQL.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $119,288 -$150,500.
