CommBank's Financial Crime Strategy & Performance business is looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Governance team, focussed on analysing and providing Reporting & Governance performance to our Financial Crime Operations (FC0) Business Unit.

Financial Crime Operations (FCO) is responsible for the prevention, detection, investigation and escalation of AML and CTF risks across the CBA Group. We secure the Group, customers and communities by:

  • performing transaction monitoring and analysis to identify money laundering and terrorism financing activity
  • undertaking the assessment of high-risk customers and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP)
  • conducting enhanced customer due diligence on high-risk customers, including sanctioned individuals and entities.


The Role.

The Governance team within FCO Business Performance is responsible for the management of FCO governance forums and committees, as well as daily, weekly and monthly operational performance reporting.  Ongoing support is also provided to the FCO business.
 

This is an opportunity for a 6 month Max Term contract or secondment for our internal team members, reporting into the Senior Manager, Financial Crime Governance.
 

On any given day you will

  • Support the delivery of operational performance and remediation reporting by collating and disseminating data and producing and delivering reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation and administration of governance forums, including pack preparation, minute writing and action management.
  • Undertake analysis, tracking and reporting on the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), including working with business stakeholders to track and report Key Risk Indicators.
  • Create and maintain business presentations and other documents.
  • Support FCO through planning and coordinating various ad-hoc projects.
  • General business management activities as required.

We’re interested in hearing from people who come with

  • Demonstrated experience in a banking/financial services financial crime risk management role.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder manager experience at the senior management level.
  • Strong written English skills, including the ability to both draft commentary/minutes and proofread commentary provided by others.
  • High attention to detail and experience in formatting documents and presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise multiple needs and objectives while remaining focused in order to meet tight timeframes. An energetic and outcome focused attitude to deliver on priorities.
  • Flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
