Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as Clinical Coordinator. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about supporting the professional development of new nurses, strengthening the transition into practice, and helping team members feel confident and successful in their roles.
The Clinical Coordinator will play an important role in supporting the onboarding, education and retention of new hires while serving as a key resource for the nursing team. This position will work closely with Nurse Mangers and nursing leadership to support daily operations, employee development, and positive culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Shift: 40 hours week, 5 days a week.
The Clinical Coordinator will support new RN’s through regular contact points while they are on their shift, support their education, time management, and critical thinking, and assist with issue resolution. Assists the Clinical Nurse Manager in supervising planning organizing directing and coordinating the day to day operation of the unit including all personnel related aspects of the department. Serves as a positive professional role model exhibiting clinical leadership independent judgement and decision making skills. The Clinical Coordinator acts as a resource for the staff in the area of maintaining departmental records scheduling staff development and other special projects. The Clinical Coordinator assesses learning needs and plans implements and evaluates educational activities for nursing staff in the department. Serves as a clinical resource and change agent for staff in the promotion and support of the professional practice environment. Must be full time and have the flexibility to meet the unit needs.
