Essential Functions

Preform daily functions as explained and demonstrated by lead man/supervisor in the time allocated per company standards. Performs typical machine shop and mold press operations to support the assembly floor. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect. Observe and act upon machine malfunction warnings and alarm signals. Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.  Comply with all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. Responsible for being a productive, proactive, and contributing team member in a fast paced environment. Adhere to all safety standards and company policies including attending mandatory safety training. Preform other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, climb, and squat, for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. A good attitude and common sense required. Must be a team player and work well with others. Able to understand and follow instructions/directions Must be available to work weekends and/or overtime. Must be able to work and concentrate in a noisy environment. Ability to wear protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, boots, respirators, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience

High school diploma/GED preferred. Minimum 1 year of factory-related experience.

Work Environment

Manufacturing plant environment with extreme fluctuation in temperature. Dusty and noisy environment. Exposure to odors and fumes.
