Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, this position supports the day-to-day delivery of Talent Optimization programs and services. The incumbent collaborates with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to respond to routine employee needs regarding Talent Optimization. This position may be designated to one or more functional areas within Talent Optimization (e.g., Organizational Development, Talent Stewardship).

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, configuration, testing and deployment of organization, talent and employee experience HR programs and services (e.g., performance reviews, talent reviews, succession planning, engagement surveys, job analysis, workforce planning, organization development).
  • Support the identification of appropriate analytics and metrics for evaluating talent optimization program effectiveness; support the development or enhancement of Talent Optimization processes and procedures to drive automation, efficiency and maximize productivity.
  • Provide support in job analysis including gathering content (e.g., responsibilities, qualifications, competencies) from appropriate stakeholders to define jobs and career paths.
  • Manage and maintain library of job profiles including competencies.
  • Support HR Operations in addressing routine service tickets that require interpretation and guidance on Talent Optimization programs, policies and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of talent optimization specific professional training, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments, business units and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of talent optimization policies and programs.
  • Assist in the execution of the Talent Optimization strategy and structure by supporting the attainment of established goals and objectives and working across the organization to achieve specific, well-defined outcomes, programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure talent optimization procedures are compliant with law (state and federal) and company policy.
  • Drive the culture, values and standards of J.B. Hunt to facilitate a best-in-class employee experience.
  • Participate in Performance Reviews including gathering content (e.g., goals, annual review, feedback, measurement).
  • Manage and maintain job competencies; utilize tracking system for updates and modifications.
  • Assist in analyzing employee feedback for improvements and/or enhancements of current talent optimization practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field, with 2 or more years of human resources experience, education, and training; or 6 or more years combined relevant experience, education and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field, with 2-4 years of organizational development-related experience, education, and training.
  • HR Professional Certification - HRCI HR Professional Certification - SHRM.
  • Ability to exercise discretion.
  • Ability to gather and analyze large, complex data sets.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated critical and system thinking skills Interpersonal or “people” skills.
  • Knowledge of HR and talent management programs and processes, including job definition, competency modeling, performance appraisals, succession planning, recruiting, training and development, and workforce planning Knowledge of human capital management systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and interact with all levels of the business

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
