Job Description

General Purpose

Mechanical design.  CAD Design with Solidworks.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Create mechanical designs (Solidworks)  that are manufacturable with standard processes, such as injection molding, CNC, die cast, sheet metal, 3D printing.
• Collaborate and work closely with Systems Engineer and senior engineering staff to implement designs in CAD.
• Build and assemble test fixtures, prototypes, testing jigs.
• Record and document testing results.
• Ability to calculate tolerance stack-ups, perform design analysis, and adjust designs accordingly.
• Release designs using PLM system.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Proficient CAD user (SolidWorks).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing methods for metals, sheet metal, plastics.
• Basic understanding of ECO process.
• Experience documenting test results and reporting.

Pay Range:

$64,500.00 - $96,700.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
