The Operations Support Advisor will focus on facilitating the review process for Site Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Field Operating Procedures (FOPs) for our Retail & Wholesale Associates.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Five or more years of relevant communications or learning experience; experience in retail / wholesale operations is an asset
  • Post-secondary education (degree in business, communications, or a related field is preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Package, Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, and/or Visio is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) including proofing and editing skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify and advise on opportunities to improve the quality of procedures and processes
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities, projects and deadlines
  • A proven ability to work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment

  • Preference for bilingualism in English and French – please submit your resume in English

Responsibilities

  • Steward the formal and ad-hoc review process for our retail and wholesale operating procedures
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop new and update existing operating procedures
  • Engage teammates when procedures are updated or required changes are identified to build an understanding of operating procedures that impact the development of learning content
  • Support the launch of organizational initiatives by facilitating the updating of all impacted standards of practice (SOP)
  • Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and opportunities to streamline processes
  • Maintain our Livelink environment and SOP Impact Process Flow
  • Support and upload SOP & FOP content and resources for our Associate Portal
  • Update process documents and monthly scorecards
  • Monitor multiple inboxes and respond to inquiries, and send communications through the Associate Portal

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W. 
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
