What You Will Do

As part of a globally recognised business that is embarking on a transformative journey, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the change of payroll systems.

You'll play a vital role in gathering payroll inputs and executing monthly payrolls, ensuring every detail is managed flawlessly. 

In this role, you'll take the lead on various aspects such as; 

• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Trimble New Zealand (400+ employees), including IRD returns, payments and correspondence

• Act as the main point of contact for employees about payroll

• Ensure data integrity from Trimble’s Workday (HR time tracking system) before loading it into Data Pay (3rd Party payroll processing system)

• Take ownership of the completion of payroll-related accruals

• Collaborate with the broader Finance team to complete monthly payroll-related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Lead payroll process improvements

• Prepare and provide working papers to Global and local auditors

• Correspond with Corporate departments in relation to Trimble’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Registered Stock Unit (RSU) programs

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Experience in Datacom DataPay

• Strong understanding of Payroll Legislation

• Experience in Payroll change and or processing complex end-to-end payroll processes in a large organization

• Demonstrable years experience in a payroll position

• Familiarity with Workday is advantageous

• Intermediate or Advanced ability to use Excel or Google Sheets
