Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems (NGAS) is looking for a Site Manager 2 at the Sigonella, Italy location.  This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.

As primary customer contact for RQ-4 Global Hawk program, the NAS Sigonella Site Manager shall professionally and technically lead, direct, manage and administer contractor activities at the customer site. The NAS Sigonella Global Hawk Site Manager shall be responsible as the single point of contact for all technical and administrative activities between USAF and the contractor team.

Responsible for:

  • Cost, schedule and technical performance of the Global Hawk program.
  • Direct all phases of program from inception through completion.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Act as primary customer contact for program activities, lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develop new business or expands the product line with the customer.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program/project from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

This leader will help lead technical coordination between the customer on site and will work directly with the Global Hawk Program Office, Program Leaders, and Support Functions to ensure program requirements defined by the SOW are achieved within budget, schedule, quality, and closure criteria. He/she may also coordinate and lead preparation of presentation materials to support Program objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of experience in aviation operational planning, execution, and training or a Master’s Degree and 7 years of experience in aviation operational planning, execution, and training.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance, within scope.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed and up to 30% of travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in the field of aviation.
  • At least 10 years of experience in aviation operational planning, execution, and training.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing large organizations (20+) with multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Experience managing highly technical projects which have delivered critical/complex hardware and/or capability to customers.
  • Military experience leading tactical and operational teams with increasing levels of responsibility,
  • FAA Pilot with Commercial Privileges and at least 2000 hours mishap free flight time.
  • Certified Flight Instructor or military equivalent.
  • Experience living and working in OCONUS locations.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed and up to 75% of travel.
  • Willing to work curtailed hours when not deployed.
  • Ability to understand new technologies and help expand new business opportunities.
